Company
2002
The company's history can be considered to have begun in 2002. At that time, a group of seven friends decided to build a portable sauna so that they could go to the sauna whenever and wherever they wanted. Esko Latvala was the main builder, and the rest of the team did their best. Some evenings, not many nails were driven in, but the evening was spent planning and brainstorming structural solutions. Before long, however, the sauna was ready for use and people began to transport it wherever they wanted to go to the sauna. Gradually, people started asking for the sauna to be rented, and it visited scout camps, engagement parties, and birthday parties.
2004
Because there was demand for the sauna, it was given a new, longer frame and a terrace was built behind it.
2007
With the terrace, we were now able to bring along a hot tub, which we had been talking about building. from the beginning. The hot tub was built with an external stove and the inside was covered with swimming pool plastic. The goal was to make a slightly better hot tub than the ones on sale. This set the stage for hot tub production.
2010
As demand continued to increase, in the spring of 2010 Esko decided to establish a company to run a mobile sauna and hot tub rental business. At this point, the rental of hot tubs alone was also included, and hot tub manufacturing began on a small scale in an old barn building. From the beginning, the focus was on manufacturing hot tubs with an external heater and a hygienic plastic or fiberglass inner pool.
2011
The company's operations are expanding, during the best seasons there are a total of 10 hot tubs for rent, most of the rentals are handled by transporting them home, because the transfers are handled with one cart. The manufacturing focuses on hot tubs with fiberglass pools, which have an external marine aluminum heater.
2012
The company's operations focus more on the manufacture of hot tubs, while the rental business operates continuously.
2013
In the manufacture of hot tubs, we are switching to using mainly PE plastic tubs, and sales volumes are increasing steadily every year.
2014
The company moves to larger premises. The annual production volume increases to approximately 200 hot tubs. Most of these are hot tubs with PE plastic basins. At the end of the year, the company will invest in its own plastic molds for a round hot tub and a round plastic cover. Labor will be hired to manufacture the hot tubs.
2015
Hot tubs are shipped to customers at a steady pace. We mainly handle sales, manufacturing and deliveries to customers ourselves, this way we can ensure that the supply chain works from start to finish.
2016
In early 2016, the company invested in a new plastic mold and is the only manufacturer to launch an octagonal PE plastic tub. It is also the largest plastic hot tub on the Finnish market. The use of fiberglass indoor tubs has decreased significantly. The new rental sauna will be completed during the winter of 2016-2017.
2017
Bouncy castle rental as a new area of expansion. Product development for hot tubs, including composite cladding.
2018
The ever-warm hot tub has increased in popularity, with a new mold for a 4-person hot tub coming later this year. The range now includes hot tubs for two, four, six, eight, ten and twelve people.
2019
Product development continues.
2020
Sales premises were completed for the hot tub factory, where you can directly purchase a comprehensive range of hot tubs and bath products. For example, various chemicals, drink holders and thermometers.
2021
Paljupihaan.fi hired more employees. The coronavirus situation in Finland and around the world is increasing the demand for hot tubs. A new washing hall was completed at the factory, which makes it easier to wash and maintain rental hot tubs, especially in the freezing winter months.
2022
The storage facilities for finished hot tubs were expanded. Development work continues, including a new Arctic hot tub coming to the market, which is double insulated and keeps the water warm in the hot tub, saving energy.
